Concrete and Wood

The first known examples of concrete being used was in Syria 6500 BCE. Through the preceeding millennia Concrete has since been continuously developed and improved through Roman Empire and its use of volcanic ash right through to the development of Portland Cement on the 19th century.

We use a 20th century version of the material, Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC). This material, which is also being continuously developed, helps to reduce the weight and carbon footprint of the concrete we use.

We often design products using a combination of GRC and timber as it makes the products more approachable and user friendly.
